Drijfhout plays and sings folk, seasongs and shanties from the Netherlands, Ireland, England and the United States . The name Drijfhout (driftwood) originates from a love of the sea and the fact that we tend to drift off course every now and again although we always end up somewhere at the beach.

To date, Drijfhout has recorded five CDs: ‘Gestrand op Vlieland' (Stranded on Vlieland), the audio musical ‘De Wanda Sage' (The Wanda Saga), "Op het Vlielandse strand" (on the beach of Vlieland), Hé Kapitein! and Schipper en de Jonkman
Drijfhout mainly plays on Vlieland but has also played at many maritime and folk festivals at home and abroad. Drijfhout has drifted ashore Germany, Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republi, England, Ireland, France, Belgium and Estonia. For American visitors: you can order our cd at Wooden Ships Music
Ger Lamerus:
vocals, guitar, squeeze-box and tin whistle Ger is not a stranger in the world of folk music
Poet, writer and composer. His imagination, inspired by nature and the play of the elements on Vlieland, has created many lyrics and tunes. Previously, Ger played in bands such as Kalis and the Tientooners.
Nils Koster:
vocals , fiddle, guitar, squeeze-box and mandolin Nils is a music teacher. He is also the conductor of various folk and shanty choirs. He has complete a music teacher training programme at the music academy of Utrecht.

During the summer evening trips on the Vliehors, at our concerts at the Vlielander bars or simply outside in a beer garden on a nice summer day. If you want to have a party on Vlieland we are happy to drift by to add lustre to your party! At a campfire on the beach, in a bar, in front of your tent, on your ship in the harbour…
We will make your party perfect!! Of course you can also book us for concerts outside of Vlieland, as long as the MS Vlieland sails...
